ABC/Lou RoccoYou may have missed the debut of Rihanna‘s “American Oxygen” music video, which premiered earlier this month on Tidal. Luckily, the singer has posted the clip on her official YouTube page.
The visual for the song, which soundtracked the NCAA’s March Madness commercials last month, features tons of patriotic imagery as well as crash-course in American history, ranging from footage of 9/11 to President Obama’s inauguration.
“Breathe out, breathe in, American oxygen/This is the new America,” Rih sings while standing in front of an American flag. “This is the new America/ We are the new America.”
“American Oxygen” will appear on Rihanna’s upcoming eighth album, arriving later this year.
