Roc NationRihanna surprised fans Thursday by teasing snippets of her new single “B***h Better Have My Money” in an unusual way: through the Dubsmash video-messaging app, where users can upload videos of themselves lip-syncing. Fans were required to download the app before they could check out the song, but not long afterward, Rihanna’s record label released the song in full.
The profanity-laced track has a trap vibe, and features Rihanna adopting a tough-girl stance, and almost shouting the lyrics, “B***ch better have my money/Y’all should know me well enough/B***ch better have my money/Please don’t call me on my bluff/Pay me what you owe me /B*lls dey bigger than LeBron/B***h give me my money/who y’all think you frontin’ on?”
The track is the latest taste of Rihanna’s upcoming album R8, which still doesn’t have a release date.
