Paolo ReversiRihanna recently paid a lovely tribute to the victims of the Bastille Day attack in Nice, France during her ANTI World Tour.
On Tuesday night in Lyon, France, the singer took a moment before performing her hit single “Diamonds,” to pay her respects to the lives lost on that day, as well as to those who continue to mourn the tragedy. “This next song I want to dedicate to the people of Nice who suffered, people who’ve been traumatized, the victims and their families,” she is heard saying in crowd-shot video posted to YouTube.
Rihanna also posted a picture to her Instagram account, which captured a moment during the tribute, with images of the French flag adorning the stage. “#LYON I’m so fortunate to have had this experience with you tonight!!! Ya’ll are incredibly dedicated and I cherish each of you,” she wrotes in the photo’s caption.
The recording artist was scheduled to perform in Nice on July 15. That concert was cancelled due to the deadly truck attack in the city on July 14.
