Paras Griffin/Getty ImagesRapper Rich Homie Quan made a big mistake during Monday night’s VH1 Hip Hop Honors special.
In a medley performance with Lil’ Kim, Quan was given the task of reciting the lyrics of “Get Money,” an iconic track by the Notorious B.I.G. and Junior M.A.F.I.A., a group that included Lil’ Kim. Quan fell short, appearing to have forgotten most of the song’s lyrics he was meant to perform, which caused a massive wave of viewer backlash on social media.
One epic mistake in particular came when Quan rapped the lyrics, “play Nintendo with Cease at Alamo,” instead of “play Nintendo with Cease and Nino.” That led to none other than former Junior M.A.F.I.A. member Lil Cease posting a special photo and message on his Instagram page.
“Look What Alamo Started Lmao,” Cease wrote, next to a picture of him holding two Nintendo console controllers, Photoshopped into an Alamo Rent-a-Car agency office. He added, “Im Not Mad At The Rich Homie Tho..That Just Wasn’t His Setting!! That’s Still Da Homie #ItsAllGood.”
Rich Homie Quan has yet to respond to all the haters.
