According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Wayne wants to sever his obligations to the label which he accuses of having withheld tens of millions of dollars for his oft-delayed album Tha Carter V, a project that the label has yet to release.
Wayne is suing for $51 million. In addition, the rapper has also asked the court to deem him the joint copyright holder for all Young Money recordings, which would entitle him to royalties from the work of Drake, Nicki Minaj and others.
