Report: Judge Clears Kanye West’s Assault Record

by

Def JamKanye West has officially been granted a clean slate. A judge has agreed to erase from The Life of Pablo rapper’s record a past altercation with a member of the paparazzi, says TMZ.

West pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery in 2014 in connection with the incident and has put in more than 250 hours of community service since then, TMZ reports. As part of the terms of his plea agreement the rapper was required to stay out of trouble during 24 months of probation.

Alhtough he has shown a short temper with the paps in the past, Yezzy seemingly has become more friendly to the cameramen who follow his every move.

In a March interview, Ye expressed his gratitude to the photogs.

“I really appreciate you guys because you guys keep me alive,” he said.

“You, the paparazzi, keep me alive because they keep me relevant. They can’t stop my voice. They can say what they want on the news channel, on the stations, blah blah blah, but I can just talk directly to you, it go up and my voice not get stopped,” he added.
