Roc-A-Fella RecordsJay Z has won a legal battle against a former Roc-A-Fella sound engineer named Chauncey Mahan, who was claiming ownership of the rapper’s masters for The Life and Times of S. Carter and The Dynasty, reports TMZ.
Mahan filed a lawsuit against Jay Z and Roc Nation in July. He wanted a judge to declare him a co-owner of master recordings of the albums that he worked on with Jay Z and Beanie Sigel between 1999 and 2000.
However, the judged ruled that Mahan waited too long to file a lawsuit in the matter.
