Eric McCandless/CBSDrake has reportedly been sued by the distributor of a concert film that captures his sold-out homecoming performance at Toronto’s Sound Academy in 2009.
TMZ reports SpectiCast Entertainment filed the lawsuit against the rapper after he tweeted earlier this week, “The Drake Homecoming film is not something OVO or Drake have any part in. I feel it is my responsibility to inform and protect my fans.”
Specticast didn’t appreciate Drake’s lack of support. It believes he posted the tweet to draw attention to his account, since he subsequently wrote about ticket sales for his OVO Fest in Toronto.
Homecoming: The Lost Footage will be shown in select theaters Thursday night.
This is shaping up to be a pretty bad week for Drake. On Wednesday, TMZ posted video of him being recently assaulted at a Dubai nightclub.
