After debuting a snippet of her new track on R&B Divas LA, Lil Mo has released her first single,”Ls Up,” in its entirety, marking her first new material since 2011’s P.S. I Love Me.
The track was produced by Lil Mo’s husband, Philip Bryant, and features the character Cynthia, who is actually Lil Mo as she battles with her inner self.
“‘L’s Up’ main message is that one of the biggest battles I’ve struggled within, is I seek to do good, and the enemy is always in my space,” Mo said in a recent interview for AlwaysAList. “Sometimes the biggest enemy was myself. So I turned it. Now when I feel I’m down to my last, throw my ‘L’ up. Love myself. I will not lose!”
The Baltimore-based singer’s new offering, as well as the theme song to R&B Divas LA, “I’m A Diva,” is available now on iTunes.
