Shortly after Miley Cryus dressed up as Lil Kim for Halloween, the rapper decided to celebrate the spookiest day of the year by releasing a new song called “Dead Gal Walking,” which is posted on her Sound Cloud page.
While the song’s title has caused many to assume it’s a zombie tribute, the Queen Bee says the track has a serious message. “It’s a very strong, serious record, but at the same time, feel-good,” Kim told MTV News. “There’s a lot of things that can turn you into a dead girl or a dead man walking and nobody wants to be that. So, I guess my message is ‘Don’t become a dead girl or dead man walking. Live your life right’.”
The reggae-infused song serves as the first single from her upcoming mixtape Hard Core 2K13, which was pushed back from a Halloween release to Black Friday, November 29. The fem-cee has tapped Big Mike to host the project, while Big Fendi serves as executive producer.
