Douglas Gorenstein/NBCQuestlove‘s musical talents will be used for an upcoming romantic drama Vincent N Roxxy.
According to Film Music Reporter, The Roots leader will handle the score for the flick, which premiere at Tribeca Film Festival in New York City next month. The film also stars Kid Cudi as a character named Suga.
This isn’t the first time Quest has curated a soundtrack — he previously scored the 2014 film Top Five, starring Chris Rock and Rosario Dawson, as well as episodes of Inside Amy Schumer.
The good news comes just days after Quest received some sad news, announcing that his father, Lee Andrews, passed away at age 79.
