Last month, Pharrell announced that he was reuniting with N.E.R.D to create a song for the soundtrack of the upcoming film, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Now, fans can finally hear the full version of their upbeat new song, called “Squeeze Me,”  which is available at all digital retailers.

“Squeeze me until I pop/ Squeeze me until you drop/ Yeah here we go now,” Skateboard P sings with his production group, consisting of Chad Hugo and Shay Haley. The song marks N.E.R.D.’s first offering in five years.

“We loved going into studio to make music for this film,” says Pharrell in a statement.  “I am one of SpongeBob’s biggest fans—can’t wait for everyone to hear the songs.”  Adds Shae Haley, “It was a complete honor to be a part of this project.  SpongeBob and N.E.R.D. share the same belief that imagination is the key to everything.”

In addition, N.E.R.D. has contributed two other songs from the soundtrack: “Patrick Star” and “Sandy Squirrel.”

The last time Pharrell created a song for an animated film, it was Despicable Me 2, and the tune was “Happy.”

While the soundtrack for The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water is available now, the film itself is due February 6.
