Westbury Road Entertainment/Roc Nation RecordsIt looks like the rumors were true: Paul McCartney will be taking the stage with Rihanna and Kanye West at the Grammy Awards to perform their new collaboration, “FourFiveSeconds.” Paul plays on the track, while Rihanna and Kanye share vocals.
“FourFiveSeconds” debuted last month, and marks the second collaboration featuring Sir Paul and Kanye that’s been released in 2015. Paul plays keyboard on and co-wrote Kanye’s single, “Only One,” which premiered New Year’s Day.
The three music stars will be joining other confirmed Grammy performers, including Madonna, Ed Sheeran, Adam Levine, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Usher, Gwen Stefani, Hozier and more.
The 57th Annual Grammy Awards take place this coming Sunday, February 8, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, the video for “FourFiveSeconds,” featuring Rihanna, Kanye and McCartney, has debuted online. In the black and white clip, the three artists are first shown individually singing or playing their parts of the song; then, they’re seen singing and playing while standing together. At one point, Rihanna, wearing an oversized vintage Sean Jean jacket with nothing underneath, sheds a tear and wipes her eyes.
The song is the first offering from Rihanna’s upcoming eighth album, slated to arrive later this spring.
