Original Hot Boy Turk Settles Lawsuit with Cash Money

Gary Gershoff/Getty Images for BMIOne of the original Hot Boys has settled his million dollar lawsuit against Cash Money Records.

According to the New Orleans AdvocateTurk sued Cash Money and Money Mack Music for $1.3 million, claiming he was not paid for songs he recorded as a solo artist, and with the group which included Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and B.G. The rapper, whose birth name is Tab Virgil, asked U.S. District Judge Kurt Engelhardt to dismiss the suit after reaching an out of court settlement. Terms were not disclosed

The Hot Boys recorded three albums together — 1997’s Get It How U Live!, 1999’s Guerilla Warfare and 2003’s Let ‘Em Burn. Wayne recently announced that the group, including Turk, Juvenile, and himself, will reunite for a performance at his Lil WeezyAna Fest on August 28 at the New Orleans Champions Square. B.G. will not be available because he is currently serving a prison sentence for gun possession.
