Image Courtesy Universal PicturesWe now have a first look into the long-awaited film, Straight Outta Compton, which documents the rise of legendary rap group N.W.A.
In an official trailer, posted by MTV, the group rises from the streets of Compton, California into super stardom with their 1988 debut album, although they are faced with harsh realities along the way. Directed by F. Gary Gray, the drama is produced by original N.W.A. members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre.
Straight Outta Compton hits theaters August 14. The film stars O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell and Corey Hawkins.
