Nicki Minaj‘s song “Anaconda” is based on a sample of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back,” and that’s what we’re getting, big time, in the newly-released video for the song.
In the clip, Nicki is in the jungle dressed like a native, surrounded by other tribal women on a makeshift bridge, where much twerking commences. We also see her and some dancers dressed in modern clothing, writhing and dancing suggestively in a plain white room, as well as doing aerobics inside a jungle hut. At one point, Nicki appears to hosting a cooking show inside the hut, and suggestively eats a banana with whipped cream on it. She also sprays whipped cream down her cleavage, and also slices a banana with a knife. Hmm…whatever could she be suggesting?
In another much-hyped scene, Drake is seen seated on a chair, while Nicki crawls over to him and then gives him a lap dance. That’s intercut with scenes of Nicki writhing in a jungle pool in a sexy red bathing suit, rapping about her “big fat a**.” She then struts away from Drake, who bends over and looks unhappy as he watches her leave.
“Anaconda” is the second single taken from Nicki’s upcoming disc The Pink Print. If she performs this song at the MTV VMAs this Sunday, we wouldn’t put it past her or MTV to bring in Sir Mix-A-Lot himself to do his parts live.
