After heating things up in 30-second teaser video from their first photo shoot together, Nicki Minaj is revealing what she loves most about her boyfriend Meek Mill in GQ magazine’s October issue.
“My favorite thing about Meek is kissing him,” Nicki says during an on-set interview.”I love the way his lips feel.” Despite their high-profile status and going on double dates with Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats, Minaj adds, “We’re just like any other couple in the hood.”
While their fans have grown to love their relationship, Nicki revealed that her mom did not like the idea of her dating the Philly rapper.
“My mother only knows Meek from what she sees in public, in the media. She’s met him now, but she just wants to make sure he’s a nice guy. She’s overprotective of her daughter,” Nicki explains before adding that Meek is only one of three boyfriends she’s ever had. “I’ve never dated around… I don’t have a whole lot of experience in that department so my mother and my family were very like, ‘What?'”
After she ended a decade-long relationship with Safree Samuels, Nicki adds, “Everybody was just scared… because when I love someone I really let them in, and I really let me guard down, and I think it’s only natural for a mother to just you know, she just wanted to make sure I wasn’t rushing into anything.”
