ABC/Lou RoccoEarlier this month, we learned Nicki Minaj landed a role in the upcoming film Barbershop 3, alongside Ice Cube, Regina Hall and Cedric the Entertainer. Now, the rapper has teased fans on social media about filming the flick.
After snapping a selfie from inside her trailer, Nicki informed us that there’s some big laughs ahead in the movie. “The scene we’re about to shoot is gonna have u #hollerin when u see it,” she tweeted, adding crying face emojiis.
When asked who she’s most excited to work with on the film, Nicki tweeted that she couldn’t decided, adding that its still very surreal.
“The cast is just so iconic. I just… Ice Cube was my older brother’s hero. It’s so surreal. The whole cast is epic”
According to Variety, Minaj will portray Draya — a “sassy new hairdresser of the beauty shop portion of the barbershop.” Other rappers appearing in the movie include Common and Eve, who will reprise her role as Terri.
