Nicki Minaj took time out of her busy scheduled to meet with five-year-old Damiyah Telemaque-Nelson, who was diagnosed with Stage 3 Burkitts Lymphoma in October.
The rapper learned of her young fan through a social media campaign started by Washington Wizards’ All-Star Point Guard John Wall, who tweeted that Damiyah wanted to receive a pink wig from Minaj.
“Fans I need your help to get my buddy Miyah’s wish granted. She’s a 5 year old battling cancer and her wish is to meet @NickiMinaj and get one of her pink wigs! I need your help, comment on this photo. Let’s get Miyah’s one of Nicki’s pink wigs!” wrote Wall.
On Sunday, Damiyah’s wish came true after Minaj flew the young girl and her mother out to meet them. Nicki shared the moment on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Looks like operation #helpMiyahMeetNicki was a success! #PinkWig4Miyah ~ Thank you @john_wall 😉 she’s perfect!” said Nicki.
