On their way to the airport to perform at the Rapture Festival, headlined by Eminem, in Auckland, word from New Zealand immigration came down that Los Angeles-based collective Odd Future would not be allowed in the country. In a statement reported by The New Zealand Herald, Immigration New Zealand said, “The Immigration Act 2009 provides that entry permission may not be granted where there is reason to believe there is, or is likely to be, a threat or risk to public order or the public interest.”
A series of tweets from Christian Clancy, Odd Future’s manager, and Paul Rosenberg, legendary music industry manager, detailing the camp’s views on the situation and the official letter from Immigration New Zealand can be seen below. Read more on this story HERE.

Very unfortunate decision by NZ immigration to withdraw Odd Future's travel visas- while they were on the way to the airport.

We do not support any decisions by government agencies or otherwise that result in the suppression of any form of artistic expression.
