“I’m calling it that because the name of every song on this album is derived from a true story,” he said during an interview with Vibe.  “Now, some of the stories are mine. Some of the stories belong to some of my fans.”

After reaching out to fans via Instagram and Twitter, Ne-Yo says that he’s included “things that are going on in their love life, things going on in their personal life and I wrote a song about it.” He adds, “From all these true stories I put together a story that’s not true. But, in that, it’s derived from true stories that’s why I’m calling it Non-Fiction.”

Led by the new single, “Money Can’t Buy,” featuring Jeezy, the set will include guest contributions from T.I., Juicy J and Trey Songz. The follow-up to 2012′s R.E.D will arrive on September 30.
