Missy Elliott‘s comeback is in full effect. The rapper returns with a fun music video for her new single “WTF (Where They From)” featuring Pharrell Williams.
In the choreographed clip, her first in seven years, Missy rocks a mirrored tracksuit with matching sequined lips while Pharrell appears as a marionette alongside dance duo Les Twin. At one point, Missy dances in a plastic track suit, a nod to the famous video for “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly).”
“The dance you doing is dumb/ How they do where you from/ Stickin’ out your tongue girl/But you know you’re too young,” she sings.
The clip was co-directed by Missy and Dave Meyers, who is responsible for videos like “Work It” and “Lose Control.”
In related news, Missy has been in the studio with Timbaland working on her first album since 2005’s The Cookbook.
