Just one day after the 37-year-old Alton Sterling was shot by police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana,Philando Castile was shot and killed Wednesday by a police officer in Falcon Heights, MN, prompting a stream of disbelief and outrage all over social media, especially Twitter.
Missy Elliott is one of many artists to comment. “Tossed & turned in my sleep last night just so sad, & it’s frustrating SMH #PhilandoCastile #AltonSterling,” she tweeted.
“#PhilandoCastile was next,” tweeted Keri Hilson. “He COMPLIED AND DIED,” she states.
DJ Skee also commented. “WTF! I went to school with #PhilandoCastile & remember him as a great guy,” he said. “Another senseless murder by our “protectors.” How does this stop?”
Philando Castile’s girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, was seated next to Castile in a car when he was shot and killed. Her Facebook Live video of the aftermath at the scene quickly went viral.
