Atlantic RecordsWho you gonna call? Missy Elliott and Fall Out Boy! Both the rock band and hip-hop recording artist remade the theme song for this year’s Ghostbusters remake.
Titled “Ghostbusters (I’m Not Afraid),” the track features the vocals of Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump, with some energetic verses by Missy E.
“They rode up to my house. They knocking at my door. There’s something strange in my neighborhood. Looking out the window and it ain’t too good,” Missy raps along to a rocking beat.
If you’re a fan of the original Ghostbusters movies from the ’80s, you’ll also recognize the familiar “Ghostbusters!” choral shout from the original, 1984 theme song, recorded by Ray Parker Jr.
The Ghostbusters film franchise has taken a contemporary turn this year, not only with its theme song, but also with its new, all-female lead cast, featuring actresses Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Melissa McCarthy.
The full “Ghostbusters (I’m Not Afraid)” song is now playing on VEVO.
