Even one of the leaders of the H-Town movement in the mid-2000s that absolutely engulfed hip hop, Mike Jones’ stint near the top of the totem pole was short lived. After releasing Who Is Mike Jones? on Warner Bros. in 2005, a downward trend came quick for the Houston spitter and when the legendary 281-330-8004 phone number was disconnected, many rap fans wondered if we’d ever hear from him again. Fast forward nearly a decade and the reinvigorated Jones is now an independent artist, prepping a new album for release.
