Photo Credit: Daniel SannwaldMiguel has an eclectic sense of style, but it wasn’t always that way. The singer, who is featured in Billboard’s Music’s Men of Style piece, reflects on how he discovered his artistic identity through fashion.
In the magazine, Miguel owns up to his confusion about his early style choices. “It took me a long time of studying and absorbing what fashion really [is] about and learning how to interpret and find my own perspective,” he says.
Reflecting on the evolution of his look from his debut album to his latest, Wildheart, he adds, “It has made a tremendous impact on how much and how many people I have connected with.”
Miguel continues, “We live in a visual age so there has to be a continuity in the music, the presentation, all of it.”
The singer joins Wiz Khalifa, country star Sam Hunt and pop singer and former American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert for the publication’s fashion spotlight.
