ABC/Randy HolmesIt has been ten years since J. Dilla passed away, and the legacy of the rapper/producer is being kept alive with a new single featuring Miguel.
The track, ”Sun in My Face,” is from the album Jay Loves Japan that was released in 2008 in Japan, two years after his death. An expanded version is being reissued on May 11 on CD and vinyl.
Vibe reports that Dilla’s final vocal album, The Diary, featuring Snoop Dogg and Pete Rock, will be released on April 15 by Nas’ label, Mass Appeal Records. “The lost album” was originally scheduled to be released in 2002.
