Halloween is a holiday that allows people to get creative and wear costumes that usually are only appropriate for that day. However, not everyone gets in the spirit and even finds the festive day to be demonic and dark.
While promoting her latest album, Rebellious Soul, K. Michelle explained to ABC News Radio why she doesn’t celebrate Halloween.
“No, like, I’m so country, I know I act wild and Southern but we’ve never really gone H.A.M. for Halloween,” the Love & Hip Hop reality star explains. “Like it’s the devil’s day.”
Meanwhile, her Rebellious Soul tour mate, Sevyn Streeter, revealed to ABC News Radio that she enjoys getting into the spirit and recalls her favorite costume.
“I’ve wanted to be this one character all my life and I got to do it last year — I was Storm from X-Men,” she says. “Yo, when I tell you I was so in love with my costume, I had the, like, this long, silver wig, these ice-blue contacts, I actually had a for-real, for-real X-Men suit with a cape, you couldn’t tell me nothing.”
So what’s she got planned for this year? “This year I don’t know,” Sevyn says. “I was thinking something along the lines of an Egyptian, like Cleopatra, or a really dope, dope, dope vampire. I don’t know, I think I might mix it up.”
While both ladies have different views on the 31st, they definitely agree that everyone should purchase tickets for their upcoming Rebellious Soul tour, which begins November 4 in San Francisco, CA and wraps in Boston, MA, on December 3. Tickets are available via K. Michelle’s official website now.
