Maybe it’s the unusually warm autumn weather in parts of the country, but Mary J. Blige is on pace to debut with modest sales for first-ever Christmas collection, A Mary Christmas.

According to industry forecasts, her disc is projected to sell between 12,000  to 14,000 in its opening week in stores.   By contrast, last year veteran rocker Rod Stewart‘s first-ever Christmas album debuted with 117,000 in first week sales.  Despite the projections, it seems Mary already has intentions to create another holiday project soon.

“Thank you everyone for supporting . I will do this again in November. It was fun, ” she tweeted.

The set, which includes duets with Barbra Streisand, Jessie J and Marc Anthony, and contributions from Grammy Award-winning producer David Foster, is available now.
