Image Courtesy BillboardBefore Ludacris hosts the Billboard Music Awards 2015 next week, the rapper joined his co-host, John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen, on this week’s Billboard cover, which see Luda giving the model a piggy back ride.
In the accompanying article, Luda recalls his previous award show experiences including one celebrity encounter that left him speechless. “One that blew me away was Janet Jackson. I grew up on her music, so it was pretty dope running into her,” he says the mag.
When asked who was the most random person her sat next to at an award show, Luda replied: “Probably Wayne Newton. I tried to get his contact information because he has the key to the whole damn Las Vegas city,” he said. “So if I ever go to jail in Vegas, I can call Wayne Newton.”
Meanwhile, Chrissy reveals that Beyonce makes her weak. “John [Legend] and I run into so many different people, but my favorite is when we get to run into Beyonce. She’s the only person on the planet who I just completely shut down around,” Tegien says. “John does it as kind of a joke now. He’ll be like, ‘Can you come say hi?’ I think he likes to see me completely weak.”
While the issue arrives on newsstands Monday, May 11, the Billboard Music Awards 2015 are going down at the MGM Grand Area in Las Vegas at Sunday, May 17, airing on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
