ABC/Randy HolmesLil Wayne is giving back to his hometown with the newly announced inaugural Lil WeezyAnaFest, taking place later this week in New Orleans.
In honor of the ten-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, organizers have revealed that the rapper will donate portions of proceeds from the show to Tha Carter Fund, which will assist in ongoing relief efforts and after school programs set up for underprivileged kids. The one-off concert will take place at Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square on Friday, August 28 at 7 p.m.
Wayne will be joined on stage by original members of the Hot Boys, consisting of Juvenile, Turk and Mannie Fresh, as well as special guests.
Tickets for the show are currently available to purchase via Ticketmaster. However, if you can’t make it to the Big Easy, the concert will be live streamed exclusively through TIDAL.
