by

Universal Music GroupKid Cudi is spilling details about his role in the upcoming film, Entourage, which hits theaters later this week.

In a video interview obtained by Complex, Cudi revealed that he is playing the new assistant of Jeremy Piven‘s character Ari Gold.

“The character I play, his name is Allen,” Kid Cudi said. “And he is Ari Gold’s newest assistant after Lloyd. And there’s a lot of pressure on him. Those are big shoes to fill. And I think it’s fun to see the nervousness.”

Cudi explained that he enjoyed playing a character that’s unlike him.

“It’s dope for me to play a character like that. I didn’t want to play myself,” he said. “I really wanted to try to give people another — a different type of character. A different type of persona of me every time I do movies. So, this is dope.”

Entourage, which first aired as a television series on HBO in 2004, is scheduled to open in theaters on June 3.
