Wiz Khalifa‘s latest album, Blacc Hollywood, has topped the Billboard 200 albums chart, marking his first #1 album on the cross genre tally.
According to the publication, the rapper’s disc sold 90,000 copies in its first week on sale, exceeding initial sales estimates of 70,000 to 80,000 copies.
Despite the solid sales start, the album has sold around half as many copies in its first week as 2012’s O.N.I.F.C., which debuted at number two and sold 148,000 copies in its first week.
Nevertheless, Wiz is just happy to have his first chart-topping album, which also sits atop Billboard‘s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and Rap Albums chart.
“Number 1 album on they ass. Thank you taylors,” he tweeted. “Honestly we’ve been waiting for this day for a very long time. I cant thank you enough.”
