Kendrick Lamar has contributed new material for the original motion picture soundtrack to the action adventure film Divergent, arriving next month.
According to Interscope Records, the rapper has teamed with rocker band Tame Impala on a track called “Backwards” for the upcoming project, which also includes original songs from A$AP Rocky and Chance the Rapper.
Executive produced by Hans Zimmer, the soundtrack also features brand new songs by pop, rock and EDM artists Pretty Lights, Skrillex, Ellie Goulding and Snow Patrol, among others.
The soundtrack will be available on March 11 while the film hits theaters nationwide on March 21.
