Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz are among first round of confirmed performers announced for BET‘s upcoming 2013 Hip Hop Awards, airing next month.
Joining Lamar, who leads the event with 14 nominations, will be fellow Black Hippy members Schoolboy Q and Jay Rock while 2 Chainz will share the stage with Bad Boy recording artist French Montana. Additional performers are expected to be announced at a later time. Kevin Hart — a.k.a. Chocolate Droppa — is a confirmed presenter for the event, which will recognize MC Lyte with the “I Am Hip Hop” Award.
Along with performances during the show, viewers can also anticipate the infamous BET cyphers, featuring the biggest names in rap and the hottest underground talent.
Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the BET Hip Hop Awards, will air October 15 at 8 p.m. ET.
