Kelly Rowland is finally giving us a glimpse into her BET reality-based show, titled Chasing Destiny.
In the 30-second clip, the former Destiny’s Child member takes a hands on role in finding the next blazing-hot girl group.
“I don’t want reality stars, I want stars,” Kelly says as she enters rehearsals wearing dark shades. “Chasing Destiny is the search to find the next great girl group. These girls have to make great songs, they have to unique sounds.”
Rowland adds there’s no “specific eliminations” and described the upcoming series as “extremely organic.”
Kelly recently told ABC Radio she felt a responsibility to launch the next singing group. “There is such a void in the marketplace and I wanted to be the one, since I’ve done it, I wanted to be apart of bringing it back to life,” she said.
Chasing Destiny premieres April 5 at 10 p.m. ET on BET. Frank Gatson, who has a long association with Rowland, Beyonce and other female music stars, will serve as the new series’ creative director/choreographer.
