As happy as Kim Kardashian has been since she got engaged to Kanye West on October 21, there is one aspect of the proposal that bothers her: the presence of Chad Hurley.
Who’s Chad Hurley, you ask? He’s a co-founder of YouTube — and, according to Kim and Kanye, the person responsible for leaking the video of the proposal, which took place at San Francisco’s AT&T Park. Kim and her fiance have filed a lawsuit against Hurley for allegedly releasing the footage despite signing a confidentiality agreement.
According to TMZ, which obtained a copy of the lawsuit, couple argues that Hurley was not invited to the proceedings, but he showed up anyway and was allowed to stay only after signing the agreement. The lawsuit includes a photo of Hurley holding the document.
Kim and Kanye further contend that Hurley posted the video of the proposal on his new Internet venture, MixBit, then tweeted a link and put out a press release.
They goes so far as to say that since Hurley is no longer involved with YouTube, he’s desperate to find a “second act.”
Kim and Kanye suggest in their complaint that the proposal was filmed on behalf of the E! network, which airs her reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The pair seeks unspecified damages.
