However, the set wasn’t posted to digital retailers, as expected. Just when fans were starting to think Kanye may have punked them, the rapper has announced his seventh studio effort will be released today, February 12.
“The album is being mastered and will be out today… added on a couple of tracks… ” Kanye confirmed on Twitter.
Although West didn’t specify an exact release time, he promised that new music will be released every week, beginning with a new track titled “30.” Hours.”
“Now that the album is finally finished it’s back to Good Fridays,” he wrote, and added a link to the song on his SoundCloud page.
The Life of Pablo includes contributions from Rihanna, Chance the Rapper, The Weeknd, Young Thug, Frank Ocean, The-Dream, Kid Cudi, Kirk Franklin, Kelly Price, El DeBarge, and Ty Dolla $ign, among others.
