Everyone seems to pay close attention to what Kanye West tweets these days, so no doubt Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz are happy Kanye’s revealed the cover art and release date for their long-awaited joint album, ColleGrove.
According to West, we can anticipate Weeyz and Chainz first collaborative album to arrive this Friday, March 4. “New project with 2 Chainz and Wayne dropping this Friday,” tweeted Yeezy.
West attached the official artwork, which shows the rappers’ faces creatively merged as one — Wayne’s striking face tats are super imposed onto 2 Chainz’ head. The cover was was designed by Kanye’s creative team DONDA, which created covers for Weezy’s 2013 album, I Am Not a Human Being II, as well as Chainz’ two solo albums, Based on a T.R.U. Story and B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time.
The upcoming album, which pays tribute to 2 Chanz’s and Lil Wayne’s respective hometowns of College Park, Atlanta, and Hollygrove, New Orleans, will include their new song, “Rolls Royce Weather Everyday.”
