Kanye West may be $53 million in debt — or so he claims — but he’s slowly chipping away at it.
According to People, the rapper reportedly sold $1 million worth of The Life of Pablo merchandise in just two days after debuting a pop-up shop on Wooster St. in New York City. The store featured branded merchandise for his new album, with fans walking out with bags of the new gear.
Kanye made sure to spill the news via Twitter. “But there is no other brand that could sell 1 million dollars of clothing in 2 days from 1 location!!!” he wrote.
If those figures are accurate, the magazine notes it would be a significant feat, considering most fashion brands won’t reach the million-dollar benchmark in a year, let alone a weekend.
