Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and their daughter, North West, are currently in Mexico, but the trip is more than just a vacation for West. While his wife lounges at Joe Francis‘ beachside villa in Punta Mita, the rapper has started recording new music.
Sources tell E! News that West has taken his production team near Puerto Vallarta to work on the follow-up to last year’s Yeezus. “His whole crew is out there recording,” an insider spills. “His whole music studio was shipped out. It’s been amazing.”
West has also brought North along to the studio with him. “She loves music and is obsessed with hearing it in the studio,” the source says.
West is using his downtime wisely — he will resume his Yeezus Tour next month and headline the Budweiser Presents: Made in America Festival in both Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
