Kanye West Promises to Never Release Another CD

There might be a good reason as to why Kanye West has yet to release physical copies of his latest album, The Life of Pablo. Apparently, the rapper has decided that he won’t be dropping CDs ever again.

Kanye took to Twitter to share the news and vowed to never release another compact disc during his career. “I was thinking about not making CDs ever again… Only streaming,” he tweeted.

West continued: “The Yeezus album packaging was an open casket to CDs r.i.p. uuuuuuum, so there it is… No more CDs from me.”

While his current album is available Tidal’s streaming services, sources previously told Billboard that Def Jam and Universal Music Group considered ­several possible release strategies and that a physical version will soon arrive.
