Kanye West has decided to postpone the Australian leg of his Yeezus tour to complete his upcoming, seventh full-length album.
Roc Nation announced that the rapper will resume his outing in early September, when he will play major arenas in each of Australia’s five big cities.
“Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia,” the statement reads. “The tour dates originally scheduled from May 2 to May 11, 2014 will now be played from September 5 to September 15, 2014. All tickets for the initially scheduled shows will be honored for the new dates.”
While he continues to work on his follow-up to last year’s Yeezus, the European leg of the Yeezus Tour is still scheduled to kick off on June 21 in Montpellier, France and then conclude at this summer’s three-day, two-city Wireless Festival in the U.K from July 4 through July 6.
