Kanye West‘s wife isn’t the only one that caught the reality show bug. Years before he began to date Kim Kardashian, Kanye appeared on a pilot for a TV show in 2010. TMZ unearthed video from the show which features a decidedly more laid-back Kanye in a video that features the logo TNE Travel.
The show was supposed to focus on Brett Goetsch, a self-proclaimed “ultimate travel agent to the stars.” The program, however, did not get past the pilot stage.
A two-and-a-half-minute clip shows Goetsch and West’s business manager, Don Crawley, discussing how displeased the rapper was that the hotel he stayed at had told people he was there.
Then Kanye started joking about tricks he uses to avoiding fans. “One of my moves is I’ll be on the phone, even when I’m not on the phone,” he joked. “This is how you get away with not snapping on a fan. You snap on the [imaginary] person you’re on the phone with and that lets them know they’re interrupting the s**t out of you.”
Despite his own diverted dreams of reality show stardom, West married into reality-TV royalty at a ceremony in Florence, Italy, where he said “I do” to Kardashian.
