Kanye West has been tapped to headline the X Games Austin in Texas this spring.
According to the event’s official website, ‘Ye will take stage during the four-day sporting event and music festival, which runs through June 5-8 at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas.
West joins a 13-act bill that also includes performances from Mac Miller, Slightly Stoopid and Gary Clark Jr. as well as noted rockers like the Flaming Lips, Pretty Lights and more. Tickets for X Games Austin go on sale Friday, January 24 at 1 p.m.
“X Games Austin 2014, will be a four-day sports, music and lifestyle festival,” said ESPN’s Scott Guglielmino. “The best athletes, competing at the highest levels remain the core of X Games. But we’re incredibly excited about being able to create a full-scale festival around that, which celebrates some of the other elements of the X Games lifestyle — music, friends, family, food and fun.”
In related news, Kanye is scheduled to resume his Yeezus Tour on February 13 in University Park, Pennsylvania.
