ABC/Randy HolmesJohn Legend has been selected to perform during Essence magazine’s upcoming Black Women in Hollywood event.
The publication announced the singer will showcase his Oscar-nominated song “Glory” alongside Common when the invitation-only ceremony takes place this Sunday, February 15 in Los Angeles. The pair join previously confirmed performers, including Chaka Khan, Brandy and Lianne La Havas
The the sixth annual event will honor Jill Scott, who’s being recognized for her achievements and artistry.
The ceremony will also serve as the official launch of Essence magazine’s year-long celebration of its 45th anniversary.
