Following their win for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes, Common and John Legend have unveiled the official music video for “Glory,” the award-winning song from the Selma soundtrack.
In the clip, posted on YouTube, Common takes center stage while Mr. Legend plays piano as stirring images from the civil rights drama are interspersed.
“One day, when the glory comes/ It will be ours, it will be ours,” Legend croons before Common raps about Rosa Parks and the recent tragedy in Ferguson, Missouri.
The powerful song, which plays during the credits of the historical drama about Martin Luther King Jr., is garnering Oscar buzz. The Academy Awards nominations will be announced on Thursday.
