Jennifer Lopez has teamed with State Farm to launch its new music program, “Neighborhood Sessions.” The first installment in the program will be a free J-Lo concert in the Bronx at Orchard Beach in Pelham Bay Wednesday, June 4.
The event will include food, games, concessions, and other family-friendly activities, beginning at 5:00 p.m. J-Lo is scheduled to take the stage at 8:30 p.m. for a 90-minute performance, the first she’s ever delivered in her hometown borough.
“I’m humbled and honored to be doing my first-ever concert in the Bronx,” said Lopez in a statement. “I can’t wait to go back home and give a show to the people and community that inspired me. Of all the summer days I spent in Orchard Beach, this is going to be one to remember!”
General admission tickets will be released Thursday, May 15 via SFNeighborhoodSessions.com.
It’s likely Jennifer will showcase songs from her upcoming album, A.K.A., which includes contributions from French Montana, Chris Brown, Robin Thicke, Wiz Khalifa, Maxwell, Nas, Rick Ross, and Pitbull. The set arrives on June 17.
