Jennifer Lopez is a singer, actress, producer, and now, an author.
She will release her first book, True Love, in English and Spanish on October 28, via Penguin Group’s Celebra imprint.
What kind of book will it be? The American Idol judge explained to People magazine backstage at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, “It started off as a diary of the year I went on tour…and when I was on the road, it became something else.”
The Billboard Icon Award winner hints that she’ll discuss her personal life in True Love, saying, “I did a lot of soul searching and praying, because I don’t ever want it to be mistaken for anything other than it was, which is sharing something I learned with people I could help.”
A portion of the book’s proceeds will benefit The Lopez Family Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women and children.
