Following the release her latest album, Reality Show, Jazmine Sullivan has her eyes set on several artists that she would like to work with in the immediate future.
The singer tells ABC News Radio that she would like to collaborate with Sam Smith, who has requested to work with her via Twitter.
“Oh I would love to. Sam has a wonderful voice, he’s a wonderful songwriter,” she says. “I’m one of those people that I just love artists. Like, I love songs. I love writing songs, so if anybody says they want to work and they’re game, I would love to get in and do something, But Sam Smith is definitely like, you know, he’s huge. So that’s wonderful.
Considering the two artists’ affinity for heartfelt material she adds, “That would be, like, the saddest love song ever. Everybody would be in their feelings.”
So who else is on her short list of dream collaborators? “Oh I would love to work with Beyonce, especially now I think she’s grown so much to me,” she says before adding, “I’ve been a Beyonce fan since, you know, like Destiny’s Child and I was really excited about her last album.”
Jazmine continues, “I worked with Mary J. Blige, but I feel like we have more stuff that we can probably do that would be really hot. It’s a lot of people like Frank Ocean, Lana Del Rey, I would love to work with Chaka Khan. For my next project maybe I can get like, if I get features on it, if Stevie Wonder is my only feature, I’m good, I’m good with that.”
Reality Show is available in stores now.
